Sibu Beauty founder Bruce McMullin is in Belokuriha, Russia this week presenting at the Fourth International Seabuckthorn Association Conference (ISA 2009). Located close to the borders of China, Mongolia, and Kazekistan, in the Altai Territory, the conference is sponsored by the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Lisavenko Research Institute of Horticulture for Siberia.
Bruce will be giving a poster presentation as well as answering questions about exciting new research from the University of Tennessee about the use of sea buckthorn in treating gastric ulcers. While the initial research was conducted on horses, it will have parallels to people as well. Without going into too much detail, the study confirmed what we already know — sea buckthorn has amazing restorative power. With more than 190 bio active nutrients, and Omega fatty acids 3, 6, 7, 9, there is nothing quite like the Sibu berry.
Beyond presenting, we go to ISA2009 to learn. While at the conference, Bruce will meet with sea buckthorn researchers and producers — involved in the science of just how valuable sea buckthorn is to humans and animals — from Russia, China, Finland, Germany, Canada, India and Romania to collect as much new information as possible.
Sibu Beauty is honored to be an active member of the international sea buckthorn community and always excited by what they are continually discovering about this wonder plant. We have some of the most knowledgeable scientists and PHD’s in the world giving Sibu the latest and greatest scientific developments on the plant. The more we learn, the better the products that we bring to you.
